Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1966 Bahama Islands Coins

Question
Good Morning!

I was going through some of my grandmothers letters to me and I found 1966 Bahama Islands coins. Each coin is sealed in a little square package.
The package includes one cent, five cent, ten cent, fifteen cent, and twenty five cent coins.

They are worth something to me because my grandmother gave them to me.  But are they worth anything in the coin world?

Thank you!  Wendy

Answer
Hi Wendy, these may be worth about .50 to $1 each if they are in uncirculated condition (no wear) except for the 15c coin, because of its odd shape and denomination, may be worth about $2-$3 if uncirculated. This was the first year the Bahamas had its own coins and several million of each were minted.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
