Question
Hi Brad,
I have a British military Authority one shilling note which is cream in colour and the back has a green design with a blue crest with the 1/- symbol on it. I was interested in its history and value. It has beeen folded in two places and has slight staining in one corner.
Thanks,
Jim

Answer
Hi Jim, these were issued periodically for use by the military and without a date.
It may be the 1943 issue:

Collector value may be worth about $3 with heavy wear to around $12 with moderate wear to maybe $20 with light wear.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.

You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
