Question
Dear Joe,
My father showed me a coin he was given by an older gentleman several years ago, unfortunately I do not have the coin to make a copy to send to you. but here is a description hopefully you can help. Blake & Co. Assayers SMV. 900 California GOLD SAC.  20 Dollars 1855 there is a picture of looks to be a scale on one side. Thank you

Answer
Hi Dennis,
Genuine Blake & Co. $20 pieces are rare.  However, Chrysler did a promotion years ago for the "Gold Duster" model whereby they gave out replicas of teh coin.
Chances are that what you have is one of those.
