Question
I have a single note: 1000 Reichsbantnote, Berlin 21 April, 1910.
Any way to estimate its worth?
Thank you, PJM

Answer
Hi Patrick, Collector value of a note depends on date and condition, including amount of wear, any folds, tears or stains as well as collector demand.
There were 2 types of these 1910 1000 Mark notes, with either red (1910-17) or green (1918-22) serial numbers and 2 varieties of each of those, either 6 or 7 digit serial numbers.
Following are the value estimates of the notes with heavy, medium and no wear:
Red, 6: $10, $20, $40
Red, 7: $5, $10, $20
Green, 6: $10, $30, $50
Green, 7: $2, $4, $8
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
