Question
I have a $1 Singapore paper note with the serial no. B/9 042310
It has a sailing ship on one side and Sentosa satelite earth station on the other.
Can you tell me the value of this note please

Answer
Hi Sue, Collector value of a note depends on date, series letter or signature and condition, including amount of wear, any folds, tears or stains as well as collector demand.
This 1987 deep blue and green $1 note features the sailing ship Sha Chuan, Chinese Crasse and carp on the face and orchids and the satellite tracking station on the back.
With the signature Goh Keng Swee collector value may be worth up to about $4 if uncirculated (no wear). With the signature HuTsu Tau it may be worth up to $3.50 if uncirculated.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
