I have a south african 50c coin, it in fairly good condition, the year is 1961, the south afirca stamped at the back the s and o is not stamped properly.
Want to know the value.

Hi Imraan, There were 26,000 of these South African 50c coins minted that year featuring Jan van Riebeeck. This coin should weigh 28.28 grams and would contain .4546 of an ounce of silver. Collector value may be worth about $8 with heavy wear to around $9 with moderate wear to maybe $10 with light wear.
The weak strike may or may not add any extra value depending on who you ask.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
