Question

srry our cameras suck
I have this coin and its 1981 $20 Cultura Maya Coin.My sisters boyfriend has started collecting coins and i showed mine too him one day cause I'm planning to sell it.He thinks its full silver but i have no clue.?how much can i sell it for?

Answer
Hi Emma, There were 250.6 million of these copper-nickel (like the U.S. nickel) Mexican 20 Pesos coins minted that year in Mexico City (Mo). That design was used 1980-84. Collector value may be worth about .25 with heavy wear to around .60 with moderate wear to maybe .80 with light wear.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info, a must have for a world coin collector.
