QuestionQUESTION: I have a large copper coin, larger than a Canadain 1 cent and just smaller than an English 1 penny. the young with a bunn face is facing left.Victoria is on the left side and Queen is right. Reverse: around the outside all the way the top vines or leaves, at bottom in side the circle looks like 188? and at the top in circle looks like a 2 or 8 everything else is too faded.
ANSWER: Hi Tim, I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to say.
What is the diameter of the coin in millimeters?
Victoria is facing left, yes?
The date is between 1880-1889?
There is a number 2 or 8 in a circle?

QUESTION: I am sending you 2 Pic.'s. coin is 3cm. wide and I can see one written at the top not 2 or 8 as I thought.
AnswerHi Tim, It may likely be a copper 1862 Straits Settlements 1 cent. I can't make out any words or details on this heavily worn piece's pictures. Victoria's portrait and the wreath seem to match. The 1 cent is 28 millimeters in diameter. If so, it is worth about $1 with that amount of wear.
