I have a 20$ gold coin made in 1900 with letter S , I'd like to know how many are made from it and how much it cost if i want to sell it?

Many gold pieces were counterfeited, so you'll have to have an expert look at yours to see if it's genuine.  If it is, then it would have an ounce of gold or so and check what gold is trading at but last I looked it was well over $1000 per ounce.  As to numismatic value, the condition is key (remember you can't do anything to "improve" condition, so please don't try, you'll only lessen the value).  Try going to www.ebay.com and doing a search for 1900S $20 gold and see what comes up for sale -- check the condition by the pictures and you can see offering and bid prices.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
