Question
My husband and I came across some coins in his parents' estate.  The one dollar coins are as follows:  (2) 1971, (4) 1972, (1) 1974, and (4) 1776-1976.  I also have one dollar coins dated 1921, 1890, 1887, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1927 and 1879.  The 1879 coin has a "S" below the wreath on the back.  The 1890 coin has an "O" below the wreath on the back.  All have been in circulation.  I am not a collector and would want to sell these.  Can you give me their estimated value?  Many thanks!

Answer
Hi Kim,
The dollars dated in the 1970's are only worth $1 each.

The older coins are all common dates and not worth a whole lot of moiney in circulated condition.
They would range from $11 to $14 each.
My company does buy them, Our website is AllCoins.US
If you would like to send them to us, I will send you a check upon receipt.
