pen1
sir, i got a little question about this coin i have
looked kinda like this.

and in the face side of the coin, in my coin she wears a crown.

mind if i ask about the value of this coin? thanks

Answer
Hi Billy,
This is a commemorative medallion from Wilhelmina's ascension to the throne in 1898. There were literally hundreds of pieces that had similar designs. Some are valuable, typically in silver and gold. Thsis one wouyld be worth $10 to $20, but it would be hard to sell it for more unless it were being sold at a coin shop in the Netherlands itself.
Now I do not know what your medal is amde of or what it looks like. So, this value may be lower or higher than what your is worth.
If you can take a clear picture and attach it to a follow-up question, I can give you a value for it as well.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
