hoping you can shed some light on this. thanking you joan nolan

Answer
Hi Joan,
Coin number 2 can be quite valuable if the condition is excellent, with significant wear they are only worth a dollar or so. Te coins mentioned in number 3 are all common, even in perfect condition and worth just a coupler of dollars each as such. Number 1 is a British penny (South African pennies start at 1923) and is worth up to $75 for a coin with no signs of wear and some red/orange shiny luster. A well worn coin will also be just a dollar or so, but one with only a little bit of wear on the high points will still be worth around $10.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
