Question
I have a 1970 ellin Bin turk lirasi 50000, how much is it worth in usd

Answer
Hi Kim, Collector value of a note depends on date and condition, including amount of wear, any folds, tears or stains as well as collector demand.
There was a blue-green Turkish 50,000 Lira note issued in 1989 featuring Kemal Ataturk that may be worth about $7.50 if uncirculated (no wear). A 1995 issued note with series letter K or later (at start of serial number) may be worth about $2.50 if uncirculated.
The 1970 is the date of the law authorizing the currency.
Due to high inflation, in 2005 a monetary reform made 1,000,000 old Lira into 1 New Lira. Your note may be worth about 3 cents U.S.
