Question
QUESTION: I have a 1972 double sided quarter with no mint markings that i can find. Do you have any idea if it is real or not and what is it's value?

ANSWER: Dan, not 100% sure what you mean by a "double sided" quarter, as all quarters are double sided -- the usual ones have an obverse and a reverse.  Do you mean that it has the same design on both sides so that it is either double headed or double tailed?  If so, those are usually magician coins, put together.  You can tell for sure by looking for a seam where the two pieces were put together on the edge, Jim

QUESTION: Sorry it is a double headed quarter. I don't see a seam on the edge. I s there a possibility of it being an error?

Answer
Yes, Dan, it is possible that there could be such a mint error, though very unlikely -- it would really only happen on purpose.  Check around the rim on both sides too, as someone could have fit another quarter in there.  Showing the piece to an error expert at a coin show or a coin shop would be the only way to tell for sure, Jim
