Question
This coin was mixed with a handful of change don't know where it came from. It has a bust of a man around it the words Bolivar Libertador.underneath the bust is the word BARRE. The other side of the coin is 1990 Republica De Venezuela Bolivar with the number1. In the center is an emblem it has plants around it the top looks likes 2 swans. inside the emblem is a horse I don't know what the 2 other pictures are above the horse

Hi Cora, There were 600 million of these nickel clad steel 1 Bolivar coins from Venezuela minted that year. The designers name was Barre. The father of the country's independence was Simon Bolivar (1783-1830).

Collector value may be worth about .10 with moderate wear to maybe .15 with light wear to perhaps .50 if uncirculated (no wear).
