Question

Canadian nickle
I have a 1908 Canadian 5 cent piece with EdwardVS VII DG Rex Imperator. Is this coin popular or not and is it worth anything.

Answer
Hi Sharon, There were 1.2 million of these Canadian 5 cents coins minted that year featuring British King Edward VII (1901-10), It contains .0346 of an ounce of silver (currently about .50) and it may be worth up to about $5 with that amount of wear.
I assume the picture of the value side is reversed and the writing on the coin is not backwards oriented.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
You might also try a library for copies of the Standard Catalog of World Coins, Coins of Canada, or Standard Catalogue of Canadian Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
