Hi Brad,

I do hope you can help me.  I got a tin full of all types of coins from my dad that was given to him by my gran and so forth.  We would like if there are any values on these items.  There are items from all over the world and would just like to know if there are anything of value in this collection:

Answer
Hi Geri, Collector value of a coin depends on denomination (face value), date, mint mark (if any), number minted and condition of a coin, including amount of wear, any dents, scratches or cleaning as well as collector demand for it.
For such a long list I'll have to refer you to the library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins (also sold new and used online). Many seem likely to be worth a dollar or less. Some are worth a few dollars.
