Question
I was wondering if you could tell me the value of:
1937, 1942, & 1943 three pence coins that appear to be gold?

We also have about 10 bills from France/Germany that our family member returned with from the war in 1945.

Thank you

Terry

Answer
Hi Terry, these are 12 sided nickel-brass British 3 pence coins featuring King George VI (1936-52) that circulated alongside the silver 3 pence coins during that time. Collector value may be worth about .15 with heavy wear to around .40 with moderate wear to maybe $2 with light wear.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
Collector value of a note depends on date, series letter or signature and condition, including amount of wear, any folds, tears or stains as well as collector demand.

If you start by listing them by Country, Denomination, and Date, I may be able to give you a range of value estimates.
