Question
Been going through old coins in the safe.

1881 and 1884 Nederlanden 1 cent coins VG to Fine condition.  What would the estimated value be?

Paper Japanese Government Occupation paper money.

1917 Australia penny VG to Fine condition.

Answer
Hi Loren, Collector value of a coin depends on denomination (face value), date, mint mark (if any), number minted and condition of a coin, including amount of wear, any dents, scratches or cleaning as well as collector demand for it.
There were 10 million of these Dutch cents minted each of those two years. Collector value may be worth about $1 each in VG-F condition.
There were 6.24 million of the Australian 1 penny coins minted that year featuring King George V (1910-36). It may be worth about .35 in VG-F condition.
The JIM (Japanese Invasion Money) were issued in different types and denominations for use in different occupied areas. With more info I'll be glad to help further.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins or Standard Catalog of World Paper Money for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
