Question
The coin is 1277 year 10 (i think) and i can fit three dimes on the face, it is two pennies thick, how much is this worth?

Answer
Hi again Adam,
That sounds like a 20 kurush, which is about the same size as a US silver dollar. This coin should weigh right around 24 grams. There were only 528,000 of the year 10 coins made, but values are not as high as you would see for a US coin with such low mintage. These start at around $20 for a decent example and go up to around $100 for one in excellent condition.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
