QUESTION: i have a  1993 5 Deutsche mark coin that i am wondering how much it is worth and where i might be able to sell it if you could help me at all with this i would appreciate it and thank you for your time reading this

ANSWER: Hi Nick, It may be worth about .50 to $6 depending on amount of wear and collector demand. There were about 3 million minted that year at each of the 5 mints. The mintmark letter is below the date. It is made of copper-nickel clad nickel.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.

Hi Nick, There were 3.4 million of these West German 5 Mark coins minted in Hamburg (J) that year and collector value may be worth about .50 with heavy wear to around $1 with moderate wear to maybe $3 with light wear to perhaps $6 if uncirculated. The writing is the name of the country and the denomination (face value) of the coin.
