Question
Dear Brad, when about to ebay a silver? Chinese coin marked 'One Dollar', genuinely found in granny's attic. I laughed out loud when I researched the web and found said Chinese are prolific counterfeiters. The coin I have certainly looks right but has no date or anything other than Chinese characters. I have some good macro shots of same I can send but expect you to say immediately that if no date then no coin?. Geoff

Answer
Hi Geoff, many Chinese coins are undated or have the date in Chinese characters.
If you have pictures (not over 1 megabyte each please) you can email them to me at tbirde@psknet.com.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
