Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1829 coin

Question
Hi Brad....I am wondering if the coin I have is of value....10 cent, 1829 coin, with an anchor on the left side of the year, and an A on the right side...Colonies Francaises in on top...looks like a wreathe around the letters 10 CENT, with a dot after the T, in the middle...
On the opposite side is a profile and the printing around it is....

CHARLES X ROI     DE FRANCE.

and then in small writing on the bottom are the letters (something like)  N.Tiolur   with acouple of dots over top maybe...not sure if there was small writing underneath that as well....

What do you think about this?...value?

Thanks Brad, much appeciated,
Valerie

Answer
Hi Valerie, There were 152,000 of these French 10 centimes featuring King Charles X (1824-30) minted that year in Paris (A) for use in the French Caribbean colonies of Haiti, Guadeloupe and Martinique. The name under the bust is that of the designer's.
Collector value may be worth about $4 with heavy wear to around $60 with moderate wear to maybe $150 with light wear.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
