Question
I have an 1871 Deutsches Reich pfennig  "2".  No small letter next to the date.  Is it worth anything? It has been in an envelope since about 1926

Answer
Hi Jef're, the first German 2 pfennig wasn't minted until 1873.
Please check the date again and describe any other lettering on the coin.
With more info I'll be glad to help further.
If you have clear pictures (not over 1 megabyte each please) you can email them to me at tbirde@psknet.com.
