Answer
Hi Patty, Collector value of a note depends on date, denomination (face value), series letter or signature and condition, including amount of wear, any folds, tears or stains as well as collector demand.
a us 2 dollar bill from 1953 A79807873A, $2-$3 with wear to $8 if uncirculated (no wear).
20 dollar canadian bill from 1937 in rather good shape, number h over e 3708349, is the signature on the left Osborne, Gordon or Coyne?
The early 1954 issues have a 'devil's face' in the hair by the queen's ear. These are worth a bit more than the corrected version with the same date depending on signature, amount of wear and collector demand.
Let me know which you have and the signature names and I can give you an estimate of its value.
canada 1 dollar #Z over F 1603652,
5 dollar #I over S 5767088,
20 dollar #V over E 9927137 all from 1954 in good shape (not creased),
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
