Question
I'm wondering the value of a 1942 Koningrijk der Nederlanden 1 cent coin it has been circulated and is in good shape.  It has orange blossoms surrounding 1 CENT on the back.  The front has a lion with a sword.

Answer
Hi Sandra, There were 2.5 million of these bronze Dutch 1 cent coins minted that year for use in the Caribbean colonies of Curacao and Surinam while the Nazis occupied the mother country during WWII. Collector value may be worth about .25 with heavy wear to around $2.50 with moderate wear to maybe $5 with light wear to perhaps $10 if uncirculated (no wear).
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
