2 1/2 GULDEN BEATRIX K
Hi Brad, i have a 2 1/2 Gulden coin with the date side showing : 1980 2 1/1 GULDEN with the reverse side : 30th April 1980 BEATRIX KONINGIN. On the un-nurled edge : GOD Z IJ MET ONS.It is in very good condition,what do you think the value could be ?

Hi Martyn, There were 30.5 million of these nickel Dutch 2-1/2 Gulden coins minted that year to celebrate Queen Beatrix (1980-) taking over from her mother Queen Juliana (1948-80). It may be worth up to $1 depending on amount of wear and collector demand. The edge legend translates to God Is With Us.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
