Question
Hi there,

I have found a 25 centimes coin dated 1921 whilst travelling through Europe.  I was wondering if you could give me a rough estimate of its value? It has definitely been in circulation but is in incredibly good condition.

Thanks in advance,

Charles

Answer
Hi Charles, is it French and has a central hole?
If so, there were 18.5 million of these copper-nickel 25c coins minted that year in Paris. Collector value may be worth about .10 with heavy wear to around .50 with moderate wear to maybe $1 with light wear to perhaps $3 if uncirculated (no wear).
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
