Question
i have a coin that says EAAHNIKH AHMOKPATIA then it has a Apaxmai. 20, just below a four column parthenon looking structure. It has the date of 1976. On the reverse side it has a soldier with helmet and the letters: nepikahE. Do you think you could tell me what it is worth?

Answer
Hi Wayne, There were 53.2 million of these copper-nickel Greek 20 Drachmai coins minted that year featuring Pericles and the Parthenon.
Collector value may be worth about .15 with heavy wear to around .30 with moderate wear to maybe .50 with light wear to perhaps $1.25 if uncirculated (no wear).
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
