Question
I collected random coins a long time ago and am wondering if you know anything about the following

front:50 centavos zs 9027 back:rebublica mexicana year: 1879

front:United states of america Year:1944 back:one centavo Philipinas (i have many of these)

Answer
Hi Michael,
The Mexican 50 centavos is from the Zacatecas mint. That particualar date and mint starts at around $10 for a decent, but well used coin and goes up to a couple of hundred dollars for one in mint condition. I can give you a more exact estimate if you post a follow-up question with a picture of the coin.
The Philippines (under US administration) centavos of that year are the most common and are worth just a couple of dollars even in mint condition.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
