Question
This coins is super small, far smaller that a US dime. It is dated 1951 on reverse the 19 & 51 are on either side of a much larger 10, above the 10, a crown, below the 10, the word cent.
Please advise, I have yet to locate any information on these type of coins from this date.
Thank you in advance!
Sincerely,
Sarah
Answer
Hi Sarah, this is a 10 cents from the Netherlands featuring Queen Juliana (1948-80). There were 54.2 million minted that year. Collector value depends on wear and this one is worth about .10 to maybe .50. You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins.
Brad
Obviously mine is much older, but everything I find on the internet is not in english. Please Help!
Thanks
Sherrie
P.S it is in perfect shape, actually remarkable shape
AnswerHi Sherrie, somehow the 9 looks like a 0. It may be from damage or a possible mint error or it may be a fake. Trust me, it is supposed to be 1951, not 1091, and does feature Dutch Queen Juliana (1948-80).
If it is a Netherlands 1951 10c coin there were 54.2 million minted and collector value may be worth about .10 with moderate wear to maybe .35 with light wear to perhaps .75 if uncirculated (no wear).

You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
