Question

Reichspfennig coin
I recently purchased one 1Reichspfennig coin and one 10Reichspfennig coin and was curious if they may be worth much. I will attach the picture I received but I do not have the actual coins yet. If you need a better picture I understand and can get one to you shortly. Thank you very much.

Answer
Hi Shari,
These two coins are in circulated condition. Although there are some more scarce dates and mint marks, the majority are only worth a dollar or two in this condition.
Would I be correct in assuming that these were purchased on eBay? I recognize the photo and something I often see from a particular seller that deals in these Nazi coins. I am positive these will be fairly common dates/mint marks.
However, being what they are there is much history behind them.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
