Question
I have a coin that says Georgivs VI Rex Imperator and the bust of King George vi facing to the left. On the obverse side the is South Africa.1937. Suid Afrika with 3d at the bottom of the coin. There is a plant, bush , tree or flower, I can't be sure which of theses it is,  in the center of the coin surrounded by 3 bars. Do you know anything about this coin and to it's value?

Thanking you in advance....Dorothy

Answer
It is a 3 pence piece.  These are not rare.  I believe yours is made of nickel and has no silver in it but I am not near my library to check that.  Even it it were islver, due to the size, the value would be little.
