| Comment | Dmitry, your response is close to my expectation, although I think this may be the 1st year that the Bahamas issued coinage, so this privately produced set could have a modest historical premium, and especially for a complete set with the $2 and $5 coins as you mentioned. I was considering putting it up for auction as it is outside the scope of my collection, but my step-son vacationed there a couple of years ago and found it sentimental to him, and thought it was worth keeping due to the historical significance, so I gave it to him. Thanks for your answer! Bob | ||

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
