Question
I have an old banknote '500000 besyuz bin turk lirasi 1970' I want to know if its worth anything? please help :0)

Answer
Hi T, there are two varieties of these Turkish 500,000 Lira notes. The first was issued in 1993 and has a square security device at upper right. It may be worth up to about $15 depending on amount of wear and collector demand. The second was issued in 1998 and doesn't have the square security device at upper right and may be worth up to about $5.
In 2005 a monetary reform converted 100,000 Lira into 1 New Lira (currently worth about 6-1/2 U.S. cents).
