Question
My broher-in-law passed away and I have been selling most of hhis coins and ran across 2 of these coins and don't know what they are worth.

thanks ahead  Kent

Answer
Hi Kent, There were 37 million of these copper-nickel British 25 pence minted that year featuring Queen Elizabeth II (1952-) on a horse to celebrate the queen's 25th anniversary of her reign. It may be worth up to about $1.50 depending on amount of wear and collector demand. Special collector versions were also made that are worth more in sealed packages or in Proof version. Proof coins have mirror fields that allows reflecting newsprint to be read at least 6 inches away.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
