Question
Dear Sirs
My father has given me some old bills that I am trying to find out some information on. I hope you can help me or if not send me in the right direction. I can send you some pictures of the bills all the writing on them are in Chinese and I cannot read them. I need some help. I think the bills are pre WWII vintage. Please help if you can. Thank You

Frank Englebrick

Answer
Hi Frank, Collector value of a note depends on date, denomination (face value), series letter or signature and condition, including amount of wear, any folds, tears or stains as well as collector demand.
If you start by listing them by Bank name, Denomination and Date, I may be able to give you a range of value estimates. Japanese notes may only have numbers on them.
If you have pictures (not over 1 megabyte each please) you can email them to me at tbirde@psknet.com.

You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
