Question

1916 pfennig
I have this 1916 Deutches Reich 10 Pfennig it has the dots on the outer side "the side with the eagle" I was wodering how much this coin may be worth. It is made of iron. I sold a 1922 one for $50.00 but not sure about this one. I understand that there were counterfits made Can you give me a hand. and thanks in advance...

Answer
Hi Saul, what is the mintmark letter below the eagle?
There were 69 million of the most common (A) minted in Berlin that year. Collector value may be worth about .10 with heavy wear to around .60 with moderate wear to maybe $1.50 with light wear.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
