Question
One side:konongrijk der nederlanden with a flower in the middle and wave design around centre. Next side 5 cents in centre and 19 in one corner with 29 in the opposite corner. Square coin.
Any idea what it is worth?

Answer
Hi Carmen,
The value on these Netherlands 5 cent coins really depends on the condition. They start at just a dollar or two for a well used coin, but can be as high as $50 for one in mint condition that is still shiny. If you would like to post a follow-up question with a picture of the coin I can give you more accurate information about it.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
