Question
Hi Dmitry

would you be able to tell me anything about this coin it
has 1 g on it .. 1929 munt van het koningrijk der nederlanden.
Thanks
Lee-Ann

Answer
Hi Lee-Ann,
This is a Dutch 1 gulden coin, which would be roughly equivalent to their half-dollar or half-crown. The Netherlands made these coins in denominations of 1/2, 1 and 2 1/2 gulden, all are .720 purity silver.
Value starts at just a few dollars for a well used coin, but can go as high as $100 for one in mint condition with luster.
Feel free to post a follow-up with a picture of the coin. I would be able to give you more specific info on the grade and value of your coin.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.

Experience

Collector of world coins since early childhood. Access to a variety of auction records and reference material. You can also find me on Facebook.
