Question
i just found a 1943 German penny with a small d on the bottom font side the condition is pretty good and i was just wondering how much it was worth i would appreciate any kind of help

Answer
Hi Jason,
This Nazi coin is a fairly common date and mint mark. They are worth from around a dollar in well used condition to about $10 for one that has not been used at all. It's worth noting that these coins are made of zinc, which usually develops white spots and corrosion on the surface pretty easily. Coins that do not have this problem and are still shiny sell for much more than $10.
Thanks for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
