Hello Mr. Fern
Don't know if you remember me. I have an unusual 1956 D quarter that I finally got a few pictures of. You had requested this from me a long time ago. The pictures are not too good but they do show the doubling on the obverse and the size difference. The reverse looks fine. I will send you four images if the site will allow this. Hope you have time to look them over.My computer skills are minimal at best. Picture taken by cell phone camera. Best I could do for now. If you want to see a better image I will find a better way.
Thank You Very Much Mr. Fern,
Robert

Answer
Hi Robert:

Thanks for asking a follow-up question on your quarter.

Only one photo came through. You can send me the other photos as attachments to my e-mail address at coingye@yahoo.com. I'll look at them and reply as to what you may have. From the photo you sent, it appears you may have a double struck quarter with the under strike struck in the collar and rotated. Without the reverse photos, it's hard to say, but to be legitimate, there should be distinct doubling on both sides.

Your coin needs to be looked at by an error expert. As a silver double strike, it could be worth $300 to $500 to an interested collector. I'd recommend contacting Fred Weinberg, a personal friend and one of the best error coin dealers in the US.
