Question
I have a 1 pice coin or token dated 1853 belonging to the East India Company.I wondered if it was worth anything? Many thanks for your help.

Answer
Hi John, a pice was a quarter anna which were what the coins were labeled at that that time, not as '1 pice'. A 1/2 pice was the only EIC copper minted in 1853.
