Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Five dollar silver certificate

Question
Hi sir, I am messaging from the US. My mother has recently handed me a five dollar silver certificate and I was wondering what the value of this may be. I have done a little research and didn't find a great answer. The note itself is not in crisp condition, but not much wear or tear. It says it is a series of 1934A. Has a 5 on the left side in blue. The seal on the bill is yellow. I'm not sure what else information to give, but the serial number on the bill is. K40860096A. Thanks for taking the time to read my email and hope to hear from you soon!

Answer
Hi Pete, this yellow seal note was one issued for use by U.S. troops in North Africa during WWII. The date on a note isn't changed except for a design change so the 1934 date was used until 1950.
It may be worth $10-$20 depending on amount of wear and collector demand.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
You might take it by a local coin shop for a first hand opinion: http://find.mapmuse.com/interest/coin_dealers .
