Question
I have Persian Coin that has been handed down through my family.  It was given to my family by the Shah of Iran.  The coin is called a 20 Pahlavi.  I have been told that it is very rare and no more than 100 were ever made.  Can you estimate what this coin might be worth and what is the best way to sell it for the highest price.  Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi Kam, 90% gold 10 Pahlavi coins were the highest denomination officially issued as coins. Is there a date on it? This is probably a medallic issue and not an actual coin.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison and as a place to offer it for sale. It is likely worth the gold content unless someone is interested in paying more for it.
