Question
Hi Ronald,

Thanks for your last response.  It was very helpful.  Just another quick question.  I have a 1934 series of A five dollar bill serial # F 13430982A in fair condition.  Any idea as to the relative value?  Thanks in advance.

Mike

Answer
Hi Mike:

Your Series A 1934 $5 FRN,  the specific Serial Number is not anything unusual, so a bill in Very Fine condition would have an approximate retail value of $30 to an interested collector, according to a recent issue of "Paper Money Values" Magazine. Nothing is listed below that condition, so a note in only Fair condition would likely only be worth face value to maybe $10 dollars to an interested collector.

Please remember to rate both my first response to your prior question as well as this reply to your new question. I spend about 20 to 30 minuets to research and reply to a question, and your rating them is the only way I know if I'm doing any good and whether it is worth my effort. I only get about half of the people even to read my questions, let alone rate me.

To rate an answer, go to the "Thank/rate the expert" button and click. You are allowed to rate four areas of the reply, and please notice the question about a "Nomination" for Expert of the Month. I would really appreciate your "Yes", which I hope you believe that I deserve. If you have any more questions, I'll try and accommodate you. Please recommend me to your friends that collect coins.

Thanks again for the opportunity to help you with your numismatic questions.
