Question
I have a Mexican peso from 1971.  It has a M with an 'o' on top.  what is it's value?  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Lisa, There were 426 million of these copper-nickel 1 Peso coins minted in Mexico City (Mo) that year. Collector value may be worth about .10 with heavy wear to around .20 with moderate wear to maybe .25 with light wear to perhaps .50 if uncirculated (no wear).
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
