Question
Have a 1698 Prussia 18 Groschen, NGC 63  (found a picture on internet and this is what it is.)  It's in a plastic case.  Can you ballpark the value?  Or give me an easier way to look it up somewhere.

Answer
Hi Janet, one 28.6 millimeters version of this 18 groschen (1/5 Thaler) with a mintage of 5.9 million from the Konigsberg mint featuring Freidrich's III bust with sword at right and crowned imperial eagle may be worth $250++.
You might try Ebay.com for similar pieces for comparison.
It is listed under Brandenburg in the Standard Catalog of World Coins as Prussia was just a minor region and then just a province in 1701.
