I am thinking of selling some coins. I can't seem to find a relevant site for a value. All the coins are in Extra Fine/Very Fine condition and I have the 1882, 1883, 1884 CC Morgan silver dollars. Could you give me good estimate of what these would be worth? I don't want to sell too low otherwise I'll keep them a little longer.

It is difficult to answer without photos or seeing the coins, but I'll try. If you want to ask a follow-up question by providing photos of the coin, I'll modify the answer, if required. Of course, you can try to grade the dollars yourself by comparing them to the grading site I provide.

The value depends date, mint mark and condition. The dates you state are considered the most common of the "CC" dollars. Your coin contains a little over three fourths an ounce of pure silver each. The dollars were struck in .900 fine silver. With silver at little under $19.00 a troy ounce, your dollars have a melt value of about $14.65 each.

According to a recent issue of "Coin Values" Magazine, your coins with a "CC" mint mark, would have a value of between $115-$145 in Very Fine condition to $125-$155 in Extra Fine condition.  You may want to check ebay listings under US coins in the Morgan dollar category to see what these coins are going for. If you live close to a coin shop, they should offer you an opinion as to the condition, and value at no charge. Always try and get at least two opinions and try and deal with PNG dealers if possible. If you should decide to sell your coins to a dealer, remember they will offer about 50% to 60% of the retail value, but usually a little more with your "CC" mint mark silver dollars.
