Question
What is the composition and estimated value of a 1930 Albert Koning Der Belgen 5 Frank coin?  It is in very good shape.  It is very similar to the Albert Roi 5 Francs coin.  What is the difference between the two coins?

Answer
Hi Jennifer, There were 5.1 million of these nickel Belgian 5 Francs coins minted that year featuring King Albert (1909-34).
Collector value may be worth about .30 with heavy wear to around $6 with moderate wear to maybe $12 with light wear.
Belgium is a bilingual country like Canada. The Koning is king in Flemish while Roi is in Dutch.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
